I see a couple other folks have already answered that one very well.

Frankly, if Obama was going to run, he should have taken 8 years or so and developed a record of accomplishment of his own. Could have cleaned up some of the embarrassing things like the TUCC membership, the Tony Rezko, Bill Ayers patronships.
