I just watched Palin's speech. I was busy on Wed night when it happened. I don't see anything extra special about Palin. Sure she can give a speech, and yes she is a righty female. other than that I don't see what all the hubub is about. I guess it is mainly about that it was a surprise. I'll be honest I was expecting McCain to pick some stodgy white guy like Liebermann or Romney. So he succeeded in surprising the country. And he also succeeded in cowering to the hard right base of his party. But I don't see people in the middle clamouring to support a hard righty just because she is a female.
