Before Gustav made landfall, the media was saying how the Republican party wasn't going to have their convention and even if they did that nobody was going to watch it. I think it was CNN I was watching at the time, but the commentator went on to say that with the series of storms in play in the Atlantic that everything was going to be about the weather for the next 2 or 3 weeks and nobody was going to want to talk about politics. The Democratic strategy right now is to freeze out McCain with any distraction they can come up with long enough for them to win the election. * * *
