Call my crazy but it would seem that Korea Development bank is getting some help in its purchase of 25% of LEH by its own govt. As KDB privatizes from its government roots, why wouldn't the Korean government "facilitate" negotiations and get a better ownership with LEH by threatening to thwart the deal?

In anycase, I'm in at $14. They better do something soon. Splitting up LEH into a good bank and bad bank is not that crazy either. If the good side is worth $10B (Neuberger Berman, etc), the market cap of the whole is now $10B, then write-off the entire bad bank and be done with it.

I would say that this market is crazy. Hard to make money in an irrational market.
