Indeed. But would it work? Would we end up with intelligent design in science class? No. Which is my point.

One of my hobby horses is how inept we are at risk assessment. It ain't gonna happen. So the question remains why factor it into the decision? It's an emotional reaction, not an example of critical thinking.

I understand voting for the candidate with whom one most identifies, with whom one feels comfortable. I actually started slipping off the fence on Obama's side for that very reason. He and Biden are my kind of people, after all. McCain is too weird and Palin might as well be from Mars for all I can identify with her. But I can acknowledge that decision process for what it is and it sure ain't critical thinking.

I think he would try to do it by Executive Order since it's one of many, many things he could not get through Congress as President.

There is no way he is going to issue an executive order telling local school boards what they have to teach.
