I don't know, but I would suspect that a turn-a-around would be complicated by the fact that the hedge funds will be very slow to return to this sector. I say that thinking they will be much less able to borrow against assets to leverage their bets. Having said that, a major new discovery could turn things virtually overnight. So could a number of takeovers, especially if they come from off shore nations who need to lock in sources and prices for their raw material requirements.
