You are right. If McCain were to say something like:

"I am just calling a spade a spade"

or

"It is like the pot calling the kettle black"

He would be hounded to death and criticized. Democrats will jump all over a republican for saying something that is innocent but can be twisted to be offensive. And vice versa.

That is part of the problem.

Instead of good discussions about solving problems, the DC crowd will only use the discussion to try to gain power by claiming victimhood.

Democrats are the worst ones for claiming victimhood since they claim to represent minorities. Everytime something can be misconstrued to be offensive to a minority, especially blacks, they get all out of shape and claim racism.

That is why the lipstick on pig is so funny since now the tables are turned. Ironic and humorous both.
