This is the way the federal government does it, and it is the way most states I've dealt with do it. Nothing new there. If she were commuting the 600 miles, she would not be allowed the per diem as it is a statutory "commute". Besides, by doing this, she saved AK about 75% of those same expenditures from the previous governor. Alaskans are ELATED. The liberal media is just going to have to keep digging I guess.
