Sigh. You see. It is impossible to have an intelligent discussion with you guys, because you refuse to even try to see things through the eyes of your opponents. In business negotiations, they teach you to imagine you were on the other side of the table and try to understand things from your opponents view, so that you can come up with a superior strategy.

I don't for one second think the Russians are innocent in this, nor do I think they have a superior form of government or anything else like that. However, if we are to outmaneuver them, then we need to understand them. You and your neocon friends here, clearly would prefer to stay in kindergarten, while the more intelligent Americans would like to play the game at the PHd level.

If you take enough time to understand that the sanctified cried of Democracy in Georgia is NOT what's at stake and understand that what we're seeing is simply a play by NATO, the US, and Russia for an oil pipeline, then you'll understand what our next moves should be.

One of our next moves over the long term should be to eliminate our oil dependence, so that we don't have to play any game that involves oil politics or strategy. That alone would give us enormous power in a world that is racing to secure every last drop of oil for their energy hungry populations.

But unfortunately, your kind of kindergarten level thinkers seem to be dominating our politics nowadays. Keep us addicted to oil, keep us in economic turmoil, and keep us powerless. That seems to be your strategy and it's not working very well.
