when he was cornered in Tora Bora, Bush called the troops to retreat and assign the unit to Iraq.

I know Bush failed to get bin Ladin, but lets be real here. No troops were withdrawn from Tora Bora, the battle at Tora Bora was in December 2001. We had few troops in Afghanistan at the time - we just can't move that fast. The Iraq war began in March 2003.

Bush/Cheney want the oil of Iraq.

Then they failed there too. Iraq owns its own oil reserves and is selling it to whomever they want on the world market.

Obama has said that his priority against terrorists is to capture bin Laden. He will do that by deploying more troops to Afghanistan and its border with Pakistan where bin Laden is hiding.

I know he says that. Apparently some of his supporters don't really believe it.

In this respect, Obama's policy on Afghanistan/Pakistan isn't as different as many think. Bush himself just announced withdrawal of 5000 troops from Iraq, and simultaneously a new commitment of more forces to Afghanistan. Seems clear Iraq will fade away and Afghanistan/Pakistan is heating up.
