Are you suggesting that perhaps the admin. set this up in a Gordian knot of manouvering?? While I might agree with the porposition in general vis a vis Georgia, Nato and such I can't imagine the scenario where they could have assembled the game into this Venez-Russ collaboration.

The USA has no intention of ever leaving Iraq, surely you understand that.

The USA needs a very strong presence in the Middle East and has one in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Israel, UAE, and now geographically the best of all... Iraq... with its borders and proximity to Iran.

It doesn't get any better does it...?
