Washingtonpost.com) What she did is SOP for Governors of Alaska. I didn't bother to publish the "point/counterpoint" when this came out. The WaPo is on a crusade to sink Palin. They run a story like this a day.

Obviously, it matters to the per diem housing question whether government-supplied housing is a normal perk of the job. If you are passing up the governor's mansion, it certainly seems reasonable to claim a housing per diem.

Read this article carefully and you will discover that Palin is a bargain to the state of Alaska compared with the previous governor, Murkowski. And why doesn't Alaska build the Governor an expensive Governor's mansion like all of the lower 48 has done? Then she wouldn't have to charge a per diem. The figures inside the article merely highlight once again what a difference Palin really makes. She is truly unique, an authentic human being, this despite all of the efforts of the Dementedcrats to bring her down.
