Well, I will be the first to go on record after watching Palin's interview with Charlie Gibson.
It was dreadful.
She sounded like a very bad moot court student. Memorized talking points that couldn't even start to stand up to questioning. She had no idea what the Bush Doctrine was, and tried to BS her way through it. Embarrassing.
She said Russia and AK were neighbors-- that they could SEE each other. Hm. Some outer reaches of Siberia, perhaps. Not sure exactly why that was experience.

She completely avoided dealing with foreign policy, trying to get it back to energy... "the basis of all foreign policy".

She is ready to take on Russia in defense of Georgia and Ukraine. She wants them in NATO. And yes, that means defending them.
If she said, 'we can't second guess Israel' one more time (it must have been on one of those notecards)....
and worst of all, try as she might to avoid it, she eventually said she agreed with pre-emptive action. She believes that we all have inalienable rights, and I think she was saying somehow it was up to us to make sure the world had them.

I think the saddest thing was something so obviously fed her--
that her comments about God's will in IRaq, was actually a Lincoln quote- that we hope we are on the side of God-

This was really discouraging. Really, really. Beyond partisan politics.

I was pleased that Gibson tried to get her back on track when she wandered off into the talking points territory. I was not familiar with him.
