I'm not interested in having a beer with anyone, since I don't drink much. But i would like a president who I think is elite enough to understand the issues, and who can impress foreign leaders with his intellect and the force of his arguments. It has nothing to do with beer. It about identifying with the candidate. You and I identify with candidates who are elite. Some people identify with Joe Six Pack. And people are more trustful of those with whom they can identify.
