Yes, and TR was in the saddle when they went over San Juan hill when war really was necessary. I give him a lot more credit than some of the modern presidents who seem to let other people take all the actual risks.

good quote, Manny. Doesn't the quote mean that we should try to resolve things in peaceful ways and only use the Military as a last resort?

My sense is that the military is becoming our primary mode of interacting with those countries with which we have a problem. The implications of this are scary.
