I don't think it is any disrespect to the Bible to say that it was compiled by human beings from what they perceived to be the Word of God. The Gnostic church has gospels that are not in most other Christian Bibles. I'm certainly no Biblical scholar. My reading of it often goes to the tales of battles and sometimes to The Song of Solomon. The teachings of Christ are simple and direct, and provide all that is needed for salvation. I have no problem with people pursuing other religions, as long as they don't try to kill others in the process. And yes, I'm quite aware that this has been done in the name of Christianity but to my mind is an abomination.
