Palin is seen as an existential threat. Either they can't help themselves or they figure all's fair in a culture war.

Where's the focus on Obama? His experience? A state Senator and then a partial term as a US Senator, where most of his time has been spent running for president?

Among other things, this Palin saga is shockingly sexist. A man would not be questioned in a "gotcha" fashion about "Bush Doctrine" -- which clearly means different things to different people. A guy's children's personal and sex lives would never be as big an issue. No sane person believed Clinton's denial about Jennifer Flowers during his first campaign - but it didn't derail him. And yet, pure fabrications and lies about Palin are already a factor. Why? - because she is a woman.

The Left likes their PC - but not when it may stand in their way to power.
