Actually, more I digest the pros/cons, I think it took courage NOT to select her..he had such an emormous amt of pressure to do so but it came from an emotional place versus who would best help him govern...there's absolutely no reason for Hillary's supporters to choose McCain if based on issues..I can only imagine the media/Republican freak show over "will he be able to keep Bill on a leash?..He's weak because he cowered to Bill and Hillary..etc, etc..gross..

I also can't help but think that with an Obama Potus and Clinton VP, governing, pushing thru the tough changes in FP, health care, tax code, it would have become another media freak show with the Republicans and their talking heads like Rush, Ann Coulter et al..

It's going to be hard enough with Biden who's got history of actually getting tough bipartisan legislation thru...

But I'm not going to beat this anymore..it's what the Rs want:for us Dems to fight and obsess versus getting out the vote!

I think Scott if the only goal is to win this election.....maybe, and I say a very tentative maybe, HRC may have done the trick. Having said that, I think people forget how much baggage HRC carries. The GOP would have used that baggage against her in order to detract from the issues. And people would be laboring over that problem right now instead of the one you bring up.

Besides, if your goal is to have a great and powerful presidency which is what I think Obama wants.....one where your VP is your entrusted supporter and confidante, HRC was not the pick by any stretch of one's imagination. Biden was.

Furthermore, all this hand wringing and second guessing accomplishes nothing except to permit GOPers and HRC supporters to fukk with us. Its done.....for good or bad we have our ticket. I trust Obama.......he knows what he's doing, and frankly, I firmly believe we are going to win in November.

Yes, we can! ;-)
