Let's see. The campaign said she visited Iraq. Now they admit she didn't. Now the Ireland claim could be counted as stretching the truth, she was actually there but only while the jet refueled.

Bottom line, they claimed something that wasn't true. Not even close.


The "campaign" didn't make such a claim. Palin has consistently stated that she traveled to Kuwait, never once mentioned Iraq.

It actually sounds as though she may have ventured into Iraq to visit her NG troops when she was not authorized to have done so.

But the Obama campaign, in seizing on this (in desperation), is lying, as neither Palin nor the campaign has ever stated or suggested she went to Iraq.
