Fair amount of talk in the invest-o-sphere about the VIX. I see nothing noteworthy. OEX/SPX made a new marginal low and the VIX made a new marginal high.

What is more noteworthy is that we are well below the prices seen in 07 and 08 when the VIX made higher highs than this. That is a bearish divergence.

This ain't panic at all.

i rarely use the VIX in any trades but at tops or bottoms on the weekly it signals we are done with the current move near term

PC ratios are out of whack too but all of these are spikes in "sentiment" anyway.

bottom line for me is, there is no trade right here...

we are captives of "news" now...not my kind of market...

if we came down 500 we can go up 500 in a blink...

just do not hold anything over night<vbg>
