If you weren't heavily involved with commercial RE or the banking industry in say 1989-93 you can't possibly understand that what is going on then was the worst banking crisis since the depression.. Commercial RE dropped an average 70% nationwide, thousands of banks were taken over and even Citigroup was on the brink. One big difference today is so many suckers playing economist/stock investor on the internet and the media tracking every move these days ..the Wall Street sheep will fleece everybody's money by the time they are done..
