Sure, he's still liberal on many issues. But as for being more Democrat than Republican, I think the fact that he spoke at the Republican National Convention, endorsing their candidate for President argues against that idea.

He is registered to vote as a Democrat, but holds his Senate seat as an Independent, who caucuses with the Democrats, and endorses the Republican candidate for President. That candidate agrees with Bush about almost everything, which puts him pretty far to the right.

One does have to admire Lieberman's willingness to think for himself.
