Well, Bush and McCain are hardly conservatives, as you like to point out.

Nothing wrong with regulating markets that are prone to speculation in either direction. Now I see that short selling is banned temporarily in the UK and probably in America pretty soon. What's short-selling, if not speculation in the negative direction?

Obama will probably make political hay out of this crisis, even though his oh-so-experienced VP choice didn't do jack to try and prevent it. At least Biden can probably make mince meat out of Palin in a debate just by mouthing off intelligent-sounding B.S.

Once in office, Obama and Biden will probably preside over the biggest expansion of federal government, all in the name of saving us from ourselves. The only limit is how much tolerance the American economy has for soaking the rich.
