I live alone and don't worry as long as I get 7 1/2 hours. We tend to sleep in 90 minute cycles. That's why we tend to come awake in those periods. I go to sleep about 2AM. Get up after four cycles at 8AM. Have my Morning oatmeal and pills, check my Email and SI, then get back down for one or two cycles. Take a nap about 4PM for one cycle.

So I am getting 7 1/2 to 9 hours a day. Sleep is very important to our health. As we get older, the old "8 hour" period just doesn't fit most of us. If nothing else, my bladder will get me up in the morning. :>)

I threw out my Lipton tea bags and went to green tea for my fluid during the day. I use the five tea bags in my Ice Tea maker three times. Here is a clip on it. I will switch to Decaf Green tea if I can find it.

Green tea, unless it is decaffeinated, also contains caffeine. Normal green tea itself may contain more caffeine than coffee, but the length of infusion with hot water, and the number of time you use the green tea leaves can greatly reduce your caffeine intake. Experiments have shown that tea after a first 5 minute brew contains 32 mg caffeine. But if the same leaves are then used for a second and then a third five minute brew, the caffeine drops to 12 mg and then 4 mg.
