If McCain chose Romney this would be much more of a horserace.

The reason I think Obama will win, even during the Republican convention bounce is due to the logistics. Obama goes in with all the Kerry states + Iowa in a lock. That means he only needs ONE other state. What are the chances Obama loses ALL swing states? Had McCain chosen somebody who could deliver a swing state this would be a race.

The same can be said of Obama though. Personally if Obama didn't want Hillary I think he should have chosen Evan Bayh, who could have delivered Indiana. Then Obama would be a SURE THING.

Apparently even Mondale had a convention bounce so those are to be ignored. Now we are back to the real race.
