Can you remember a time when the National Guard was the National Guard, and their responsibility was to provide service duty on the home front at times of war or disaster ? Now the National Guard is treated as a reserve of the US Army, thereby leaving its home duties unattended. Hard to see why regular army needs to train for stateside functions. unless it's all part of the grand plan (which of course it is). wg PS - Remember you are not paranoid if THEY really are coming to get you.
