I've seen you post about rice before. Other than your post, I've never seen rice claimed to be a good choice. From everything I've read, white wheat flour, rice, and corn are the first starches to dump.

I know that rice is easily digested, though, if that's an issue. (Whenever I've had an ailing cat, the vet has recommended rice mixed with lamb baby food. Might apply to moose, too.)

I eat potato occasionally, mostly when I eat breakfast out. Haven't had rice in years.

You can compare rice and potato. The potato clearly wins. The rice looks like empty calories.
