No squirming and wriggling. She was a member of a specific denomination, people don't typically change all the time. At some point she did, but not doing so right away is hardly a surprise.

The issue wasn't that her church was somehow one for "holy rollers", the issue raised was the prayer about witchcraft. A Kenyan visiting pastor, of that denomination, would probably have one or at most two choices of church to go to. So surprise surprise, when he visits Wasillia he goes to her church. The fact that some visiting Kenyan says a prayer against witchcraft is hardly some sign that this was typical for her church.
