honey said;

<<He has never told his Moneytalk audience that he made that (secular-bear ended) proclamation...>>

--Yes, and who told you he would NEVER mention that on his program? I did! I know Bob better than anyone except maybe his wife! -:)

<<...even though he used the secular bear as a marketing-hook to sell newsletters on the program many times.>>

--As one who knows brinker better than you, or korn, or virtually anyone, I'm here to tell you (for the umpteenth time) that was NOT a "marketing-hook." He seriously believed in that secular bear theory.

Even your idol korn agreed with me on THAT one!

IMO he dumped the secular bear theory because the supposed cyclical bull ran too long.

I heard someone ask Bob Brinker last weekend about his view on secular trends. Brinker had been patting himself on the back throughout 2001-2002 for saying he had correctly called a secular bear market. Then in 2007 he said it ended in 2006. whatever, but then the market takes a dive and he never talks about it again.

same with the cyclical bull market that he bragged about calling so often. That is why he bashed the bearish advisors so many times when the market was going up. now all we hear is silence. Don't you think that tells you a thing or two about Brinker's character?
