LB,

Thanks, I will keep the post. When I go to my exam in January, I will ask my doc if he can order the test himself using his regular lab. If not, if he can at least draw the blood and send it. If he can't I will just have to go to one of the draw centers. I need him to "order" the test for me to be able to take the cost from my HSA account (and make it deductible).

Joe

<"As an interventional Cardiologist turned preventive, my goal has evolved into one devoted to uncovering ways to help my patients live better, longer lives. From an identification and management perspective, the one tool that has unquestionably had the most widespread and profound impact on my patients is the NMR LipoProfile. I have used the LipoProfile as my exclusive test to measure and treat lipid disorders for the past six years. Having performed thousands of these analyses I can safely say that their use frequently reveals the presence of hidden but manageable lipid-related risk, which when treated diminishes the occurrence of cardiovascular events. Anecdotally, in my own cardiology practice we cannot recall the last time one of our patients experienced a heart attack. I attribute much of this clinical success to the diligent use of precise LDL particle information, something which can be found only with NMR technology. The knowledge gained from such testing has value that eclipses the standard LDL cholesterol information. My hope is that in short order enough doctors will understand the immense clinical breakthrough inherent in the NMR LipoProfile so it will become the standard for everyone rather than a bonus for the opportune.">

I never saw a patient of any of the preventional cardiologists come in with a heart attack. These guys do good work. This stuff is worth while.

Edit: Each one had his own regimen. It is not necessary to do the full Dr. Davis regime to get a lot of benefit IMO. For someone new to this, just try and read and study the material you find on this thread. Then bit by bit incorporatie it in your life.

Cutting out all sugar and sugar like substances and taking fish oil capsules would be a great way to start IMO.
