Ian,

Had no idea you bailed. I thought you would be pleased by the synergies (read: Market Share entering monopolistic zone) between TNCR and KLAC.

I love SEC late filer suffix policy. (Disclosure is the name of the game.) Should late tax filers (or others) get a special suffix on their license plates? <g>

TO ALL:

To put it mildly, I am confused as to the market's treatment of the semi-equips recently. Some of the recent news:

The BTB for Sept. was the highest in recorded history

KLA beat expectations by 12%

AMAT has maintained its guidance given in the last CC and the recent Morgan interview in Fortune he is just as bullish as ever on the prospects of the industry

Will someone please give me the bearish scenario, the act that the Street is currently reading from. Some of the stocks were a bit extended this past summer, but the punishment they have recently gotten is unwarranted IMO. AMAT is currently trading at about 16x next years high-end EPS. JMO, but I believe the street, once again, has over-reacted. Any insight appreciated.

Confused and in the red:-(

Brian
