I had the stones once also and stay away from spinach, beets, and ice tea and drink a whole lot more water. My Urologist was surprised that I got em since I was already in my 60's with no previous history. I also was doing the Atkins diet and I think that contributed greatly to the condition. U of Tx Southwestern Med School had a small study that showed that the Atkins diet took away the bodies natural protection for Kidney Stones in some individuals. I haven't been able to find it in the literature and perhaps the makers of Atkins products bought them off.
