Sorry Ive been off for so long, been pretty busy. I agree with all your last three postings (80% cash, wow). Two days ago I believed AVE was starting a pullback, now, though... I think the earnings were pretty neutral. Not good enough to satisfy those looking for a windfall quarter but good enough to keep demand high, especially after a pullback. As far as day trading goes- if you have been shorting above 60 and buying back around 57-58 for the past two weeks- you would be rich. This cant keep up, though.

Near term, I fear that we should not expect much out of AVE. There seems to be enough demand that people are ready to buy on any pullback. So far, there does not seem to be any support for the stock above 60, though. Im afraid we may end up in a trading range again unitl something signifigant happens (though that could be any week).

Im not quite as bearish as you on the market. There is so much enthuasiam about the stock market these days it seems any time the market goes down, people are willing to buy thinking they are getting bargains. Im holding even though I really have almost no gains to speak of for the past two weeks. I dont see how the market has not gone up recently with some of the large cap.s reporting impressive earnings. I do think that many people have realized that most issues are fully or over priced. I also believe that many think that these days of high profits and growth just cant continue over the next few years.

So how is the market genius doing today? Wow, I bet youre glad to be out after todays session. I did not get killed too bad, but I dont think I own any stock that went up today. It was all before the bell, too. If I remember correctly, AVE opened at 56. It only ended up down a point or so. Same with Dell, Intel, and most other stocks.

So what do you see from here? I dont think Asia's woes are going to be
able to keep our market down for very long (unless its REALLY bad over
there). I see some bargains out there but I dont have much cash to do
any buying now. Damn AVE still wont come down very much either. Your exit from the market sure was timely- good job.
