No, I'm just making the obvious point that that if one doesn't know what the questions are it hardly helps to memorize some answers as you have suggested Palin did in preparation for the debate.

The reality is that anyone going into one of these debates has a pretty good idea what questions are going to be asked (which is true, and which I agree with the liberals on CNN about -- who said this after Palin kicked Biden's ass).

But when you appear before a town hall, you have no idea, whatsoever, what you're going to be asked. Obama would not participate in this format -- except the one that McCain forced him into -- because he cannot control the questions. I'm sure Obama will do a great job of controlling the questioners, though.
