The economic crisis WAS caused by bad mortgages. To say otherwise is ridiculous. What drove FMN and FRE into insolvency? Making markets for mortgages is what they do.

Obama and Biden are repeating whoppers of their own, that it's all Bush's fault, that the problem goes back "eight years" as if the buck stopped just before it reached Clinton (like Captain Pelosi Planet thinks).

If McCain really wants to play rough, he will bring up Maxine Waters by name and call out her quote, "We do not have a crisis at Freddie Mac and particularly Fannie Mae under the outstanding leadership of Frank Raines." Then he can force Obama to either defend Congresswoman Waters or "throw her under the bus" with Raines, Ayers, Wright, etc.
