I don't believe that poll or most others. The media is telling the nation Obama has the election in the bag, McCain doesn't have a chance.

Obama's appeal is very deep in two groups - white liberals and blacks. His strength is he'll draw a big turnout from those groups. But he is also the candidate who got less popular votes than Hillary in the primaries. And he lost most of the big states to Hillary. His appeal to the people who voted for Hillary is weak - many of those folks will stay home or defect to McCain, offsetting his strength among white liberals and blacks.

Meantime, Palin has turned on the Republican base. Which is why she's targeted for attack.
