Didn't Japan try paying people 1/2% or 1% to borrow money? Don't be surprised if we try it. Not that it worked for Japan, but that wouldn't stop us from trying. There's nothing too stupid or too desperate when it comes to what Washington and Wall Street will do.

Everyone I know has stopped spending. Many are taking cash out of banks, buying guns and food. This is a lot worse than they are letting on.
