In terms of any criminal or ethical violations, McCain was cleared....but even he admits he used poor judgment and he was obviously embarrassed by the incident....he also cut his ties to Keating when it became clear he was involved in criminal conduct....however, in terms of assessing the character of the two men, compare his actions and statements with those of Obambi when confronted by his associations with Ayers, Rezko, Wright, etc....Obambi does NOT compare favorably..... J.

McCain's criticisms of Obama have always had a factual basis; The K5 smear job is just totally made up. Your dishonesty is appalling... If this is a test of truth telling in the literal sense, then what is untrue about what obama has said in retaliation about mccain's keating 5 involvement? John McCain was accused of improperly aiding his political patron, Charles Keating, chairman of the Lincoln Savings and Loan Association. The bipartisan Senate Ethics Committee launched investigations and formally reprimanded Senator McCain for his role in the scandal. Today, John McCain is the only major party presidential nominee in US history to have been rebuked, censured or otherwise admonished after a Congressional ethics investigation. If obama is guilty (of what?) by association...then mccain is really guilty for his role and judgement in the K5 scandal. And if you argue by proxy so can obama's camp...mccain's judgment sucks and K5+today's economic collapse are ample evidence. Al
