Not sure how this shows up in GM's books however I have a friend who has a GMC dealership.
A few years ago GM told him he had to renovate & increase the size of his dealership at the cost of approx. $2mil. He didn't want to as it had been in the family for years. GM told him update or loose GMC.
GM financed the update...and now he's financially in trouble because of sales decline.
So, if he closes shop, GM will have to write off that loan.
How many other dealerships will fall into this category??
