C2, I change my mind frequently, even when the facts don't change, I change my mind just because another idea pops into my head or is provided by somebody such as your good self.

Will the USA electorate change their minds about Sarah Palin being preferential to Ron Paul as president of the USA? It is ridiculous that so far they have put her far closer to being president than they have put Ron Paul.

I saw another interview of Condoleezza Rice a couple of days ago and she should be in ahead of Sarah.

Given the probabilities of human life, there is a good chance that she will be president.

I think I'd just write Ron Paul on the ballot and let them throw it away. John McCain won't win anyway and Obama wouldn't be too bad and it would be one in the eye for the Rabid Republican Right and Congress could keep him on a short leash.

Joking aside about the great and venerable idol etc, Green$pan didn't have to do much and while I disagreed with his timing on interest rate changes, which exacerbated the problems, I really think it's absurd to blame him for people borrowing ridiculous amounts of money to buy over-priced houses and bonus-greedy companies lending it, and shareholders thinking it was a good idea and insurers guaranteeing the mortgages.

We had a similar MADness in NZ in the 1980s leading to the 1987 bust which was substantial here. Debt was piled on debt onto borrowed money and revalued assets like a big balloon. When it popped and real value was established, a lot of people were out of jobs and investments.

So far, this has been a good event in that I can buy lots of stuff at a much lower price than previously. That has been my plan for several years. It has been a very long wait, so I hope to get my money's worth.

While the SKF trading has been fun and enormously profitable, on pixel if not paper, my plan is to start moving real money by the Tonka Truckload instead of pixelated Zim the Amazing type money.

PS: For some strange reason, my Toyota Camry was conked out this morning when I tried to start it. Odd! It gives clicking noises in the fuses and relays department. It wouldn't start with jumper leads. I shall now check the markets and see if they have gone on the fritz while I slumbered and goofed off. I just spoke to the financial markets part of ASB to enquire about them accepting some US$ - Eric said he would be too busy to email me details, but quickly gave them over the phone [SWIFT number etc]. Too busy? I spoke to another couple of people there and they sounded 'wired' too.

Hi C2. It's getting close to time to close my SKF shorts for another whopping profit [from about $180 and $131 down to $114 today]. Zim the Amateur would be green with envy. TJ is a beginner too. Let's check gold... $835 giggle...mineralize some more of those losses TJ. Now oil .... oh, more like $80 than $200...told you so. And $80 is expensive, even after $2 trillion dilution of US$.

Meanwhile, Mqurice the Miraculous is up... let's see [need calculator] ... about 20% year to date [in NZ$ which is my home currency] and that is AFTER the crash by QCOM from $55 back down to $41. That is actual 3D situation and doesn't count my BBR style pixelated profits on SKF of about $100 million. At present I have a BBR pixelated loss on the latest tranche of Yahoo! of some small amount after some hefty gains on Yahoo!

I'm up to seeing around 11 corners so far [on SKF].
