Did you position your starter cables properly?

I am sure you did.

Elves as I think Toyota products never have electrical problems.

Perhaps the coriolis effect making electricity go counterclockwise.

Sounds like a starter motor perhaps gone bad. Most logical reason. But you would have had some warning via grinding and other difficulties.

Odd.

I surely don't know. I think electricity is voodoo, witchcraft. Absolutely do not understand it.

Psssst... come on, Mq. We're down to just a small ragtag band of old friends on this thread now, peering out over the desolate landscape from a crumbling watchtower. TJ and Elmat are skulking behind their barricade. Why don't you take a deep breath, relax, and just admit it...

ALAN GREENSPAN SCREWED UP!!!

*OT* Sounds like you have a loose connection most probably your ground wire. Check for corrosion or loose connection for your battery/starter problem.

Good Luck,
Lee

M,
I really think it's absurd to blame him for people borrowing ridiculous amounts of money to buy over-priced houses and bonus-greedy companies lending it, and shareholders thinking it was a good idea and insurers guaranteeing the mortgages. I agree.. There is a problem with the US system and a lot of the problems could be solved with a good long honest look in the mirror.. ... However it is equally absurd IMVHO to laud him for his actions, hold him up as particularly insightful or grant him a knighthood... for his actions.. Greenspan is yet another case of 'smart is not enough'...
