<<there are those of us who would stand for what is right.>> The BRIGHT side of my pessimism is i KNOW there are always those that who will stand for right and not bend, NO matter the cost. There is an excellent psychologist at Stanford that has run extremely disturbiing experiments that he later wrote in a book for Laymern, that he called The Lucifer Effect, his name is Zimbardo. In has in these tests he found only a distinct minority are strong enough within to stand firm, and not become beast. He then proposed that the fate of humanity is not in studying the big majority that FAIL time and time again when put to the test and ratherwe MUST study the minority because if we do NOT discover their secret, Humanity is DOOMED His worked confirmed the stunning work of Stanley Milgram and his Milgram's original publication of The Problem of Obedience. Milgram in the early 60s did an experiment of which results so disturbing the results were suppressed so my the media( even though in the year 2000 his experiment was listed as one of 5 most vital experiments into the human mind in the 20th century) and it was declared illegal that he ever do those experiments again. Milgram in fact took a lot "sh--" for staring in confronting man with just how dangerous the vast number of human's INNATELY --the quite significant majority. He found the single greatest danger was that roughly 75% of all humans will be BLINDLY OBEDIENT to authority, and will commit ATROCITIES because it is merely asked of them--75%!!!! So why do 25% REFUSE???????????????????? All races, religions, nationalities and background, all came out with the near identical results. So i ask a CHALLENGING questions, are we really all really the same species?????????????? Grandk i am not popular on these threads as i am always challenging and challening to LEARN CONSTANTLY-- to never stop, never! Max
