Mr. Bubba You are more wired than most of us in the Nextel dugout. Would you please let us know what happens at the FCC auction? In yesterdays WSJ, in the discussion re: the new AT&T CEO, there was a discussion of how Allen lost the really good people that came with the McCaw acquistion. Most of those people ( Big Mac, Perry,et.al.) are now with NXTL. This bodes well for the company,IMHO. Did you at one time post that the PW analyst use to work for Nextel? Since some of us think Nextel will be acquired if successful, what do you think the acquisition price would be if the 2002 E.P.S. is $6.50? Putting you on the spot, but know you can handle it,Bub. That's great news, Bubs. But I don't need another mansion - I've already got one of them. What I'll need is a place for the butler to live. Hmmm, at $150 maybe I could build a mother-in-law house on the back forty for that lucky guy. Hey, Bubba, do ya need a job? The pay ain't great but I do have a spitoon. Oh, I forgot, you'll be in tall clover too. Just think, you'll have plenty of bucks for that new still you've always wanted (you know, the one with the automatic revenuer remover - pronounced like 'manure'), not to mention some good chewin' tobaccee. Spittoeee! And speaking of BBQ, I just finished some great ribs! Yum - That's a descriptive term, not the stock symbol. Meanwhile back at the ranch, NXTL has been non-responsive the last two days, in spite of a strong overall market. My guess is that folks are waiting for earnings and the stock will start perking up next week. After the good news, I expect we'll start looking for 35. Arnie
