Just read that California is shopping a $4B muni offering with a 5.5% coupon. Moody's is giving it it's highest rating. I wonder how that is possible with CA the shape that it's in? 5.5% tax-free. They should wait until Obama is president. Once the tax increases are more evident, CA would have an easier time selling it.
