I'll only buy used if it's a certified pre-owned like the last two Lexus I've bought. Right now I'm looking at the GMC Arcadia and the Buick Enclave. They have great incentives on their 2008 models right now.

Wouldn't she be better off to come north to Oklahoma or Colorado to replace her car? These aren't gonna have damage like she might be buying in TX.

You are so right about the nickle and diming. My daughter's house burned down a year and a half ago in the Lake Tahoe fire and she's still fighting with the insurance company. She had just finished a major remodel and we took pictures of every nook and cranny, joint and light fixture, opened drawers and photographed contents and videotaped it all too. With all that information, the insurance company still refused to settle for anything near what was lost. She wasn't the only one, so she and some other homeowners filed suit. What the insurance companies hope is that the people will get so desperate because they have nothing, that they will settle for pennies on the dollar.
