Prolly depends on yer definition of center.

Considering that the Bush administration has moved into socialism, with government ownership of the banks, those who voted for Gus Hall are probably now just slightly left of the new center. -G-

TO me the meaning of 'Center' is a place where both sides can discuss the issues without namecalling and hopefully with open minds. The posters themselves aren't necessarily centrist.

Certainly this close to an election, most people have committed to a candidate; here at Center, that candidate is Obama. We have had months of discussion and debate about the issues, and about Wright, Ayers, the economy, the war, and it has included people who supported both Hillary and McCain.

For someone to come in, throw out a couple of negative posts and then say in a patronizing manner, "I'm sorry guys, if you're not troubled by Obama's associations, you need to be" -
well, that's chutzpah. Cog had responded fully and rationally to his posts, so it really wasn't discussion that was wanted, it was to tell us how wrong we are.
I can get that from my children. Who needs some stranger telling me?
