You don't know who the adults are. But thats okay - you can just make sh*t up. Would you take 1st graders on a field trip to a gay wedding? When compared to SF, S. TX might as well be in Russia. The attitudes and biases are that far apart. Having said that, I don't think its appropriate to take a child to the wedding ceremony of his/her much beloved teacher, gay or straight. Obviously, the parents of those kids felt differently. That is their business. It certainly is not the end of the world nor the worst thing a parent can do. Deal with it!
