For the most part, no. But, there are convictions pretty much every cycle because the Republican firms have a habit of discarding registrations for those who choose Democratic affiliation. Or changing the affiliation.

But, yes. In general, the Republicans are less grass roots and go straight for suppression. Often pretty openly.

Did you see where the NH phone jamming case is finally coming to trial? It has only been, what? 6 years?

I think the (R)'s could pick up some votes if they did voter registration drives in southern trailer parks, bars, NASCAR events and other places where uneducated, drunken rednecks congregate. A lot of those people don't vote.
