at the risk of arguing with people here that I mostly agree with, this Muslim issue is something the democrats need to be very careful with. If the Democrats treat this like just another "minority" and try to be politically correct, they will lose on this matter.

There is ONE yes ONE issue that will drive people like me to republicans. It is the acceptance of Muslim culture in the USA. I won't have it. I won't have my kid going to school and finding out that some other little girl's sister was murdered in africa somewhere while they were on vacation because she forgot to wear a head scarf. I won't accept Sharia laws in our courts even if its "informal". I also am not interested in a community of people within the USA practicing these beliefs with their own court system, a country within a country kind of thing.

It is the easiest thing in the world for a hardline politician to win with a platform against the muslim infiltration they have in Europe, here. All the extreme liberal groups like gays will even come on board.

Islamic sharia law is gaining an increasing foothold in parts of Britain, a report claims.

Sharia, derived from several sources including the Koran, is applied to varying degrees in predominantly Muslim countries but it has no binding status in Britain.

However, the BBC Radio 4 programme Law in Action produced evidence yesterday that it was being used by some Muslims as an alternative to English criminal law. Aydarus Yusuf, 29, a youth worker from Somalia, recalled a stabbing case that was decided by an unofficial Somali "court" sitting in Woolwich, south-east London.
