Westell/BC: I'm not sure what Bell Canada is calling this next phase starting today Oct 21,1997. Limited deployments in two cities, initial testing with ISP's, 2.2Mbps service. I call this an expanded trial, using Westell's 2.2Mbps FlexCap2 modems. The WWW site has also changed within the last day: bell.ca How does ADSL compare to ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network)? Initially, Bell's ADSL access service can transmit data at speeds of up to 2.2 Mbps, compared to 128 Kbps with ISDN. Bell Z@PTM ISDN service is a dial-up switched service and can be connected anywhere nationally and globally. At 128 Kbps, Z@P ISDN service fulfills many consumers' requirements for Internet and telework applications. For more information about ISDN, call: 1 888 999-ISDN. I could be wrong, but this next phase includes CAP based modems from Westell... until later.
